The New Jersey Devils are a professional ice hockey team based in Newark, New Jersey. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference. The team was founded in 1974 as the Kansas City Scouts, and moved to Colorado in 1976 and then to New Jersey in 1982. They have won three Stanley Cup championships: 1995, 2000 and 2003.
